I live with my husband, pug dog, one cat, and two pygmy goats on a small farm in the foothills of the Cascades near Snow Peak in rural Linn County, Oregon, adjacent to the lush, green Willamette Valley. What a wonderful place it has been to just kick back, relax, and quilt, quilt, quilt. I usually retreat to my "Outhouse" where I can be most creative. It is my quilt studio which is located out of the house, thus the name "Outhouse."

My Quilting Studio Inside My Quilting Studio

I have been sewing for almost 40 years, but only started quilting just before I retired several years ago. A talented quilter I worked with brought pictures of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show to work one day. After looking through the pictures, I was hooked. My first quilt was like the first one for so many others - the log cabin block. I have read lots of books and magazines, and taken several classes to learn all that I could about quilting. I designed the block-of-the-month (BOM) for almost two years for our local quilt guild. All but a couple of the BOMs were my original designs.
I have entered several of my quilts into the local county fair each year and always win several blue ribbons. A few times, my quilts have won Champion and Reserve Champion awards, usually in the machine quilting category. I entered quilts a couple of times in the State fair and those won ribbons also, one a blue ribbon in addition to a Special Award ribbon.
After having come up with many quilt designs, I wanted to share those designs with others who might enjoy them, so decided to start producing and selling some of my patterns. I also will design a quilt pattern based on what you want it to be.
Thank you for visiting my web site. Please feel free to share with me your quilting accomplishments. Or, if you have any quilting questions or comments, please let me know.
