GEISHA FAN-TASY

This quilt was made in April, 2005 for a challenge with the Santiam Scrappers Quilt Guild (SSQG). The guild picked out the main fabric to be used. I designed the geisha applique and the layout of the quilt. It is machine appliqued, machine pieced, and machine quilted. The sashiko was done by hand.
The quilt won the challenge award for Best Interpretation of Theme. Other awards include 2nd Place at the 2005 Linn County Fair in Combination of Techniques, and 1st Place at the 2005 Oregon State Fair in Quilted Wall Hangings and a Special Award.
SUMMER IN LACOMB
Size: 76" x 100"
This quilt was finished in April, 2006. It is machine pieced, hand appliqued, and machine quilted. Twelve of the blocks were from the Strawberry Patches Quilt Shop's Second Saturday Quilt project. The remaining twelve blocks are my own design using EQ5. I also designed the layout, borders, and quilting designs.
The quilt received a 1st Place at the 2007 Linn County Fair for Machine Quilted/Mixture of Techniques.
LOG JAM

I made this quilt for the Mid-Valley Quilt Guild's 2006 quilt challenge. It was finished in February, 2006. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. The challenge was to make a quilt using the log cabin block as a basis. I designed this quilt by altering the basic log cabin block.
The quilt traveled with the collection to various quilt shows and quilt shops throughout 2006. It started its journey by hanging in the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center. This quilt won 1st Place in Machine Quilted/Wallhanging at the 2007 Linn County Fair. It also won Champion in Machine Quilting.
DRAGONFLY RHAPSODY
Size: 48.5" x 48.5"
This quilt was finished in July, 2006. It is machine pieced, appliqued, and quilted. It is based on the Broken Star pattern by Nyla Morrison. I designed the applique and quilting, which includes quilted dragonflies.
This quilt won 1st Place for Machine Applique at the 2006 Linn County Fair. It was accepted into the 2006 Northwest Quilting Expo, which is a juried and judged show. The quilt also received a 1st Place in the QuiltUniversity.com 2007 Virtual Quilt Show in the Piecing, Threadwork, and Painting Category. Viewers worldwide voted on their favorite quilts.
MUSTANG SHIRLEY
Size: 14" x 14"
I made this pillow for a friend in January, 2004. This pillow is machine appliqued and quilted. I designed the car applique from a photograph. She carries the pillow in her car when she is drag racing it.
The pillow won 1st Place for Miscellaneous Pillows at the 2004 Linn County Fair. It also won Reserve Champion for Miscellaneous Patchwork Items.
SUMMER CRUISIN'
Size: 39" x 39"
I finished this quilt in July, 2004. It is machine appliqued and quilted. I designed the car appliques from drawings my husband and I did of street rods.
The quilt won 2nd Place at the 2004 Linn County Fair in the Youth Sized Quilts category.
